Diono is issuing a recall for certain models of their car seats. Models of Radian, Olympia, Pacifica and Rainier manufactured between November 2013 and September 2017 may be affected by this recall. If the car seat is installed forward-facing and secured using only a lap belt and not the top tether, it may not prevent injury to the child in a crash.
If you own one of these car seats, contact Diono to see if your model is a part of this recall. Diono will provide a remedy kit with instruction manual free of charge. The kit will include an energy absorbing pad and a new chest clip. Contact Diono online here or call them at 1-855-215-4951.
Our car seat techs urge owners of these car seats to attach the top tether if you are using it in the forward-facing position. For help on attaching the top tether contact us at 255-0481 or check out these installation videos on Diono’s website.
For more information on this or any other car seat recall contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 or go to www.safercar.gov.
