Graco has issued a recall to notify owners of their TurboBoosters, that several models do not have a warning instructing owners to keep the seats buckled in at all times, even if the booster seat is not occupied. This warning is important because any car seat that is not secured can become airborne in the event of a crash, posing a risk to all occupants in the vehicle.
Graco will be contacting registered owners and providing them with updated instructions about buckling in the boosters even when not in use. Owners can contact Graco Customer Service at 800-345-4109 to request the revised instructions or to speak with a representative for any questions or concerns about this recall.
Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 or go to www.safercar.gov.
